On March 16, 2011, I participated in the roundtable on Youth Sport Coach Development in the US hosted by Boston Univ and co-sponsored by Up2Us and the Boston Youth Sports Initiative. In summary, this roundtable looked at the following issues:
- How to bring awareness to the issue of coach development for youth sport in the US
- Creating a cohesive community of practice among leaders in coaching development and youth sports
- Defining and prioritizing next steps
- Providing key information to be captured in a white paper on the state of coach development in the US
